Patrol Task Force called “Rake Crime and Criminal”, has arrested four suspected Brusubi Burglars on Sunday 16th April, 2017, between hours of 05:00-05:30.
The accused persons are: Omar Ceesay, age, 27, of Tallinding, Modou Gaye, age, 29, of London Corner, Ebrima Mbowe, age, 25 of London Corner and Modou Jallow age, 25, of Bundung.
The four youths are suspected of breaking into the house of Ma-Fanta Hydara of Brusubi Phase 2 and stole valuable items ranging from money, 1 IPad, 2 Samsung mobile phones and some jewelries.
When contacted, the public relations officer (PRO) of the Gambia Police Force (GPF), Inspector Foday Conta confirmed the incident to daily observer’s reporter.
PRO Conta explained that the police patrol team were on their usual patrol routines, and they sighted these suspects with a Mercedes yellow Benz taxi with registration number BJL 5612 G. They were pursued and caught by the police who escorted them to the Brusubi Police Station for further police action.
“After thorough interrogation, the suspects confessed to have stolen the item from a particular compound which was later known to be Ma-Fanta’s house in Brusubi Phase 2. They led the police to the compound and found Ma-Fanta, who later joins the police at Brusubi Police Station to give her statement,” PRO Conta noted.
