Over fifty staff at State House, including drivers, gardeners, and cleaners have been allegedly ordered to stay away from work last week. According to Mr. Jarju quoted by Eye Africa, the victims are all not Jolas but they form the majority.
Mr. Jarju, one of the victims told Eye Africa that they came to work on last Friday and were asked at the State House gate to go home and wait. He said they are not in any position of against the order. According to him, they are more than fifty, including gardeners and cleaners,
Mr. Jarju said their employment was legal, saying they’ve received their appointment letters from the Public Management Office. “I cannot actually say why we were asked to go home and we respect that order and would wait and listen.”
According to him, whenever something happens, it will be base on a reason but we are yet to know the reason behind this.
