Cannabis Possession: A Soldier Charged for detaining 900g of drug

Demba Jarju An officer of The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) is accused of detaining cannabis Sativa on 17th February 2017 by the court.

He denied any wrongdoing. The soldier has been paradeed before the Magistrate Leyon of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court on a charge of prohibited drug possession.
However, the inspector O.S. Jallow, the Drug Law Enforcement Agency’s prosecutor then applied for an adjournment, saying that would enable the prosecution to bring their first witness.
His application was granted by Magistrate Leyon and adjourned the matter to 7th May for the testimony of the first prosecution witness.
