A UK-based Gambian businessman has formed a new company dubbed Gamdesigners to promote Gambian products across the world especially Gambian designs to the international scene. This newly formed company registered in the United Kingdom seeks to provide a platform for all Gambian designers to showcase their products in the international market.
According to the founder, Almamo Fatty, the platform is a state of the art platform built by Gambians with top security and payment gateway provided by one of the biggest banks in the United Kingdom, Barclays Bank, who also provides the full PCI compliance enabling the site to meet international standards where people can use their debit cards securely as well as provide the merchant a bank account where funds will be collected on behalf of the designers.
Fatty revealed that there are many Gambians with talents making world class designs that can be marketed anywhere in the world. He therefore, stressed on the need to enhance the skills of these young Gambian designers to make their products readily available and accessible anywhere in the world through delivery.
Fatty however encouraged every Gambian designer to join the platform noting that the fashion industry cannot achieve this unless we support these designers by buying from them electronically online.
