FBN Bank was on Sunday beaten 4-0 by Access Bank at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium in the ongoing Late Governor Jatta Memorial Inter-bank Football Tournament.
A brace from Saihou Mbowe and two goals from Demba Seckan and Musa Bah were enough to teach FBN Bank a footballing lesson.
Speaking in an interview with Observer Sports, the head coach of Access Bank, Abdoulie Touray, said he was quite elated after securing a convincing victory over his opponent. He hailed his players for giving a respectable performance and promised similar performance in their upcoming games.
For his part, the head coach of FBN, Sheikh Sadibou Secka said, despite the heavy lost, the performance of his boys was not bad. However, he accused Access Bank of violating the rules of the tournament by using ineligible players.
In other games, Zenith Bank drew 1-1 with BSIC, Skye Bank drew goalless with Trust Bank Limited, and FIBank against AGIB ended goalless.
