Four top army officials removed

Some four senior Gambia Armed Forces officials have been relieved of their duties, acting GAF PRO Lieutenant Kemo Kanuteh confirmed to reporters yesterday.

Among those that have been relieved is Brigadier General Modou Alieu Bah, former GAF Director of Finance. It would be recalled that MA Bah was once Minister of Interior.

Others relieved of their posts are Brigadier General Modou Sowe, former Director of Operations and logistics at GAF, Brigadier General Musa Savage, former Kanilai Commander, and Lieutenant Colonel Mola Jarju Director of Intelligence and Security.

Acting PRO Kanuteh also confirmed that those arrested in relation to the December 31st attack have been reinstated into the Gambia Armed Forces.
