Vice-President Aja Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang presented Tuesday in Geneva Gambia’s ratification of the agreement on the facilitation of trade (TFA) at the WTO.
The Government has adopted a national development plan for 2017-2021. “We must be realistic,” says Dr. Touray indicating however that an increasing growth of 7 percent seems possible.
Supported by the International Trade Centre (ITC), Gambia wants to develop its agriculture, tourism, fishing, its raw, investments in the energy sector or the autonomy of small entrepreneurs. He also wished to strengthen the added value on the production line or even its abilities in terms of e-commerce. On the international scene, too, the Gambia joins the instruments which should allow increasing the volume of its exports.
