Immigration Chief Buba Sanyang, is defending Gambia’s decision to expel senegalese citizens recently arrested.

According to Mr. Sanyang said those expelled were mostly minors between the ages of 11 – 16, who were residing in the country without any parental or custodial guidance.

The Immigration boss further clarified that the children were living in deplorable health and safety conditions. Deporting them, he says, was part of an effort to reunite them with their families.
