Multiple investigations initiated by the Gambian authorities testify that the former despot Yahya Jammeh personally ordered the physical execution of honest citizens. Sources tell of the arrest of the name Suwandi Camara, a former mercenary formerly close to Charles Taylor. The latter was arrested at the same time as his accomplice named Bubacarr Jarju. They are involved in the kidnapping of a MP and a businessman in Senegal with intent to kill them
The investigation showed that Suwandi Camara was at the heart of the recruitment of mercenaries set up by Yahya Jammeh when he wanted to make his coup in the aftermath of the last presidential election. Suwandi Camara is a killer like Malick Jatta, the “jungular” who was allegedly involved in the murder of the journalist Deyda Aïdara.
Yesterday, 9 ” jungulars ” in custody were questioned, but according to Gambian judicial sources, this team of killers consisted of 40 people who were directly dependent on Yahya Jammeh and his minister Of the Interior Ousman Sonko, imprisoned in Switzerland.
If the “jungulars” were responsible for the physical execution of honest citizens, NIA, was in charge of the tough interrogations. Elements obtained by the Gambian Justice attest that NIA boss Yankuba Badjie tortured Solo Sendeng to death on the premises of the former special services on 15 April. According to the senegalese newspaper Libération, Badjie called on 8 of his murderers: Louis Gomez, Saikou Omar Jeng, Haruna Susso, Yusupha Jammeh, Lamin Lang Sanyang, Tamba Masireh, Lamin Darboe and Baboucarr Sallah. They were all charged with conspiracy to commit murder and imprisoned at Mile 2r’s grim prison.
