Five schools, including a senior secondary school have been closed by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education the Point reported.
According to a statement from the ministry, these schools are immediately closed, “due to unconducive school environment which contravenes the rules and regulations governing private schools.”
The affected schools are: Maserr Senior Secondary School at Lamin; Kombo North West Coast Region; Isatou Kombeh Jay’s Nursery School at Bakoteh Housing Estate; Bright Minds Academy at Fajikunda; Kings and Queens Nursery School at Erenjang in Dippakunda, and Education for All Nursery School at Sancha Sulay Jobe
“Parents and the general public are therefore advised not to enrol their children/wards to the above mentioned schools,” the ministry said.
“In this connection, the Regional Education Directorate would arrange for the placement of the affected students to other schools.”
