Nawec Announces 2 New Engines at Kotu Power Plant

NAWEC, National Water and Electricity Company has just announced the installation of a 6MW and another 12MW new engines at the Kotu Power plant.

September and October 2017 are considered the worst ever as Gambians are suffering frequent Blackout from , the country has experienced a Nationwide Water and Electricity Crisis as the company is supposed to provide electricity to 2 million inhabitants with generators out of age.

These two new engines along with works in progress for the cross border electricity supply between Senelec and NAWEC. Poles are being erected from Karang towards Essau and Barra. With a lot of patience normal electricity supply is expected to come back to normal at end of october.
