Samger Football club have appointed Alagie Basiru Njie as head coach for the coming season 2017-2018 GFF national second division league.
Alagie will be assisted by experience Yahya Manneh formerly of Lamin United and founder of Jatta’s football academy. According to Team Manager Baboucarr Sey reacting about the two appointments “We have decided at an executive level to stick with our policy and philosophy from day one which is contunity. If you follow our history since day one you will realise that Samger is a club that always want to give chance to everyone related to the team been it a player or a coach thus we have decided to stick with the same style. Alagie Basiru Njie have been with the club for years under former coach Jane Joof and Omar Jobe and he is well vast with the culture and tradition of Samger.”
Mr Sey says it’s “an opportunity” for Alagie Basiru Njie to move to the next level in his coaching career. And with Yahya Manneh beside him, it is an added value and advantage for their ideas towards the game is at par.
The duo will start recruiting for young talents accross all zones with the hope of selecting young potentials they will help to grow their potential to the next level.
